It shows, in high definition, the last hard yards to the summit of Everest, from below the South Summit to the top. It was probably shot over approximately four hours.
The heavy breathing, the swirling snow dust, the early morning light, climbers on the Hillary Step, the scraping sound of crampons on hard snow, and with climbers balanced on a narrow ledge … this brought the memories flooding back to us! This is what it’s like to reach the roof of the world!
